Production Manager at AVI Limited

National Brands Limited is looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead and support the production team at Isando Biscuits. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring world-class production and quality targets are met efficiently, with a focus on safety, cost-effectiveness, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety & Compliance: Drive a safety-first culture, conduct SHE talks, manage safety audits, and ensure PPE compliance.
• Production Management: Oversee production schedules, manage absenteeism, resolve bottlenecks, and maximize OEE.
• Cost Efficiency: Identify cost-saving opportunities, reduce dough rejections, and manage labor effectively.
• Quality Control: Conduct GMP audits, ensure adherence to production specifications, and resolve customer complaints.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives for process optimization, cost reduction, and new product development.
• Team Leadership: Foster a culture of ownership, conduct one-on-ones, and support employee development and training.

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years in a leadership role within a production environment, ideally in FMCG.
• Strong people management
• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial preferred) or related field.
• Supervisory and Food Safety certifications are an advantage.
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime and extended work days/hours/standby as required to deliver the KPIs
