Responsible for first line leadership and coaching of sourcing unit to meet production schedules. Drives improvements through Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodology. Improves product cost guided by continuous improvement initiatives; partners with quality to bolster world class pass rates and production yields; plans production activities and promotes safe working conditions and positive employee relations.

Ensures compliance to Ecolab’s quality control guidelines and procedures to ensure that raw materials and finished goods comply with engineering and product specifications.
Executes production plan per budgeted standards. Provides joint supervision to production team, partners with maintenance to drive process engineering improvements and to ensure smooth transitioning on new product initiatives (NPI).
Education/Work
Experience: Bachelor of Technology in Engineering or equivalent NQF level 7 in Chemistry and/or Engineering
Three year’s experience in a production supervision and/or quality control in a manufacturing and/or processing environment with project management experience.
Computer skills, especially MS Office tools.
Knowledge of Continuous Improvement and organizational efficiency tools are preferred (5S, KAIZEN, OEE, TPM, Lean 6 sigma)
Technical experience on liquids mixing, filling and packing Technologies is an asset.
Good communication skills, strong character of follow up and analytical thinking.
