Production Supervisor - Brakpan at Ann Swann Personnel Services

• We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our client's manufacturing team. The successful candidate will need to have over 5 years of gained experience within a manufacturing industry, with a proven track record of managing a production team to achieve production targets and improve process efficiencies. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing production activities, ensuring quality standards are met, and promoting a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise production teams to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
• Ensure that production processes are efficient, safe, and comply with company policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement production schedules to optimize production and meet customer demands.
• Monitor and analyse production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure that quality standards are met and that products meet customer specifications.
• Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations of production team members and provide coaching and feedback to improve performance.
• Participate in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to improve production processes and reduce costs.
• Manage inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply of raw materials and finished goods.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other departments, including procurement, maintenance, and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of managing a production team.
• Proven knowledge and understanding of SAP.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, including scheduling, capacity planning, and inventory management.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality and safety.
• Experience with ERP systems and other production management software
