Public Policy & Corporate Affairs Consultant - South Africa at Speyside

The successful candidate will lead weekly and monthly reporting for clients in multiple sectors including the digital economy and healthcare, in addition to providing other high-level servicing to clients and helping to drive new business. Responsibilities would include:

• Carrying out research in multiple sectors
• Reporting on monitored topics in the media and other sources (legislation, policy, and regulations) to support clients
• Undertaking stakeholder and issues mapping in multiple sectors
• Inputting on various client deliverables and participating in client calls with other team members
• Assisting the team on accounts outside of South Africa, including Africa and the Middle East, where necessary
• Supporting the team with new business outreach including, identifying targets, research in new sectors, and preparing detailed briefs

Qualifications and Capabilities:

• 2 – 4 years’ experience in public policy and government relations
• Good understanding of the media, political, and business landscape in South Africa
• Experience with interpreting legislation, policy, and regulation
• Strong writing skills
• Self-driven and motivated
• Based in South Africa
• Knowledge of the digital economy and healthcare is preferred
