Quality Assurance Laboratory Assistant at Truworths

Job Description    

We have an exciting job opportunity that has become available in our Quality Assurance department. We are looking for someone who is passionate about retail, energetic, hardworking to join our dynamic team. The role will be based at our Head Office in Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities    

• Ensuring that the correct test methods are applied to each test sample and are accurately conducted
• Ensuring textile equipment is correctly used and maintained
• Test reports to be written in clear and technically correct manner
• Approving or rejecting test reports and making recommendations to Fabric Technologists
• Ensuring professional communication internally and externally
• Turnaround times for test completion to be managed
• Receipt of daily submission reports to the Laboratory
• Checking all information is accurate and then loading into PLM making corrections where required
• Booking out test reports on PLM with the pass/ fail result
• Sending computer generated reports to all suppliers
• Dealing with daily queries relating to submissions

Qualifications and Experience    

Advantageous but not essential:

• Previous Laboratory experience with a minimum of 1-2 years
• Tertiary Education e.g. National Diploma in Textile Technology
