Quality Assurance

• Analysing audio and video quality of programmes in real time.
• Ensuring the technical quality of all media operations material in line with e.tv and other broadcasters broadcasting specifications.
• Ensuring that all timings and other relevant info is correct and correctly loaded on BMS.
• Ensuring that the programmes required for broadcast are ingested and a quality assurance review is performed on ingested material as per the given schedule.
• Editing and dubbing material as and when required.
• Ensuring the correct material is captured and conforms to broadcast standards, including aspect ratio.
• Evaluating images and processes through a PSE (Photosensitive epilepsy) test if and when required.
• Mastering finished products in time and archiving existing projects.
• Flagging any classification queries to be reviewed.
• Gathering all the relevant components (audio mixes, textless elements, etc.) on International Masters.
• Reviewing and responding to daily shift report, when on standby.
• Reviewing and responding to daily missing media report, when on standby.

Editing

• Selecting shots that need to be taken out or faded after consultation with relevant stakeholders.
• Formatting multiple file wrappers and codecs.
• Logging and digitizing of media delivered on tape or any analogue delivery format.
• Printing to tape and doing insert editing on material to be played out or delivered to analogue formats or systems. 
• Editing the title as per distributor / broadcaster specifications (video type, audio configurations etc.). Formatting according to delivery format required (DVD master, broadcast file or master file) for redistribution.
• Responsible for creating viewing copies for potential clients to view and uploading to our digital online viewing platform (Egnyte).
• Sending links and media digitally to clients.
• Converting selected media according to clients’ specifications.

Requirements

• A National Senior Certificate
• A National Diploma in Video Editing - Advantageous
• A minimum of 1 years experience within a similiar role
