• As the Quality Assurance Team Leader, you will be part of the CompuGroup Medical (CGM) South Africa Development team and will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality software to all our customers. To achieve this you will take responsibility for the implementation of QA solutions, tools, measures, and processes, lead a team of Quality Assurance Professionals and ensure the team is at all times prepared and equipped to perform its duties optimally.
• Your experience in team leadership, the development of comprehensive test strategies, the execution of manual and automated testing activities, and the logging and reporting of defects found will be of the utmost importance in ensuring the delivery of quality products by the CGM South Africa team.

Education & Skills

•  Testing Certification (ISTQB Foundation level or Certificate Programme in Software Testing)
•  7+ years' experience performing Quality Assurance testing activities
•  Proven track record leading a testing team

Good knowledge of:

•  Testing methodologies and technologies
•  Software automation techniques
•  Test script design and development
•  System, integration, functional, and regression testing
•  Defect management tools e.g. Jira, Zephyr
•  A good understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile development methodologies
•  The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
•  Good writing skills (for documenting the process)

Good communications skills

 Experience testing web-based applications, mobile apps, and web services

Key Areas of Responsibility (but not limited to):

•  Lead and manage the daily activities of the Quality Assurance team
•  Drive the implementation of QA solutions, tools, measures, and processes
•  Attend daily agile Scrum sessions to provide status updates on QA activities
•  Review requirements and specifications
•  Develop manual and automated test strategies that will enhance test execution, manual test coverage, and the consistency of regression testing
•  Perform manual and automated test activities as per the test strategy
•  Create, extend and maintain the automation framework by creating new tests and maintaining existing tests.
•  Provide QA estimations
•  Prepare test cases
•  Participate in release processes by executing post-release testing activities and confirming the overall QA status
•  Coordinate test procedures with other teams
•  Review and analyze system specifications
•  Execute test scripts
•  Review test results
•  Log test defects and technical issues for development teams or relevant responsible party to attend to
•  Help troubleshoot issue
