Quality Control Specialist at PEP

Purpose of the job

To manage auditing and inspections of all purchase orders . Adherence and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and escalating key issues as well as constantly liaising with Merchandise and Quality Assurance teams to ensure a successful end-to- end Quality Control (QC) process.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitoring and measuring QC compliance to ensure best practices in manufacturing
• Research and develop formal QC process 
• Quality analysis reporting on vendor performance through the development and implementation of the Supplier Scorecard.
• Management of QC information and ensuring QC processes are consistently adhered to.
• Relationship Management 
• Ad hoc responsibilities 
• Commercial Decision making

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

• Textile or garment related tertiary qualification
• QA certification will be an advantage
• 5- 8 years Previous experience in similar role within manufacturing or retail
• Knowledge and understanding of BCEA
• Knowledge and understanding of  OHASA
• Knowledge and understanding of Labour Relations Act
• Clothing process and manufacturing knowledge
• Computer Literacy: Excel (Advanced) and Google Workspace
• Knowledge and understanding of project management
• Analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Drivers Licence essential
