    Quality Controllers/Warehouse Assistant

    Position Overview:

    • The PLG Quality Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and condition of preloved consumer electronics in the iStore PLG environment. They are responsible for meticulously cleaning, inspecting, and packaging items before they are forwarded to technicians for any required software fixes. The ideal candidate should possess attention to detail, a commitment to quality assurance, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Thoroughly clean and sanitize preloved merchandise, including electronics, clothing, accessories, and other items, adhering to established cleanliness standards.
    • Conduct comprehensive quality inspections to identify any defects, damages, or imperfections in the merchandise.
    • Document and report any identified issues accurately and promptly.
    • Collaborate with technicians to communicate any detected software-related problems or issues requiring repair.
    • Package cleaned and inspected merchandise securely and professionally, ensuring proper protection during transit to the repair department.
    • Maintain organized workspaces and storage areas to facilitate efficient workflow and inventory management.
    • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

    Qualifications:

    • Passed Matric/ NQF level 4 qualification
    • Previous experience in a quality control or similar role, preferably in a retail or second-hand goods setting.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle defects or damages.
    • Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and materials suitable for various types of merchandise.
    • Familiarity with electronic devices and software troubleshooting is advantageous.
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Good communication skills to interact with team members and report any issues accurately.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team when necessary.
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a dynamic work environment.
    • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
