React Native Developer at Salt South Africa

• We are supporting a UK-based technology consultancy in the delivery of a high-profile client engagement and are seeking Senior React Native Engineers with a proven record of delivering production-grade mobile applications in demanding, client-facing environments.
• This role requires engineers who operate comfortably at a senior level, demonstrate strong engineering judgement, and can contribute with minimal ramp-up time.

Role Overview

• The successful consultant will be embedded within a cross-functional delivery team and will be responsible for the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of high-quality React Native applications, with a strong emphasis on UI fidelity, performance, and production readiness.
• This engagement is suited to individuals who are accustomed to consulting environments, where autonomy, accountability, and delivery excellence are essential.

Mandatory Requirements
Candidates must meet all of the following criteria:

• Demonstrable experience delivering and supporting production React Native applications in commercial environments
• Exceptional focus on UI quality, precision, and attention to detail, with the ability to translate design systems into polished, high-fidelity interfaces
• A minimum of 3 years’ hands-on React Native experience, supported by broader React expertise
• With 6 years in total experience with React.
• Proven ability to work independently and proactively, requiring minimal supervision
• React Native must form a core component of the candidate’s current or most recent role
• Strong professional maturity and the ability to contribute effectively within a structured consultancy delivery model

Engagement Details

• Contract duration: 3 months
• Rate: R600 per hour
• Location: Remote (South Africa-based candidates)
• Working hours: UK time zone alignment required
