    Regional Sales Manager - South Africa

    • A well-established international company with manufacturing and marketing operations across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the Americas, and Europe is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead sales efforts in South Africa (primarily Gauteng, 80%), optimize crop protection marketing strategies, and strengthen key customer relationships. Responsibilities include strategic product positioning, budget management, customer engagement, technical training, and overseeing demo trials within the assigned region.

    Minimum requirements for the role:

    • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sales, Marketing, or a related field
    • CropLife Certification is highly beneficial
    • Minimum 2-5 years’ combined sales and technical experience in the agricultural industry
    • Strong knowledge of fungicides, herbicides, and pesticides is essential
    • Must have extensive expertise in plant health and crop care
    • Fluency in Afrikaans and English (Read, Write, Speak)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Driving regional sales growth and achieving set targets.
    • Optimizing crop protection marketing materials in line with the area strategy.
    • Strengthening relationships with key customers, including distributors, agents, and farmers.
    • Identifying and onboarding new producers to expand the company’s portfolio.
    • Ensuring accurate monthly and annual budgeting for timely product availability.
    • Developing and implementing strategic product positioning proposals.
    • Conducting regular meetings with the regional team and customers.
    • Organizing and providing support for farmer events, sales promotions, and technical training.
    • Implementing action plans for customers to achieve annual sales targets.
    • Maintaining timely and accurate administrative reports and CRM updates.
    • Initiating, managing, and monitoring demo trials in the region.
    • Actively collaborating with peers and managers.
