Skills and Experience:

• Follow up on commercial and industrial solar projects to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with municipalities and Eskom to verify and confirm compliance standards.
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma from accredited institutions.
• Demonstrated experience in regulatory affairs within the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar PV projects.
• Familiarity with South African regulatory processes and adeptness in navigating complex frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and successfully obtain regulatory approvals.
• Proficiency in negotiation to secure necessary approvals and strong analytical skills to assess regulatory requirements and implications for solar PV projects.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and adapt to evolving regulatory landscapes.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.

Qualifications:

• Minimum N6 diploma or wireman's license.
• Technical understanding of basic electricity to effectively address inquiries.
• Proven ability to follow up on complex projects with meticulous attention to detail.
• Previous experience in the solar industry or a similar regulatory role is advantageous.
• Familiarity with NERSA applications and processes.
