Risk Consultant at Accounting and Financial Advisory

AFA is looking for Risk Consultants to work on a project based in KwaZulu-Natal starting mid- March 2020 for a maximum period of 3 months.

Responsibilities:

• Year-end review across Revenue, Payments, Procurement, and Capital Projects to ensure identification and completeness of PFMA reporting
• Preparation of Regional PFMA report highlighting PFMA violation identified
• Execute review procedures as per project programme and document results of testing in working papers
• Prepare review findings, which must be supported by relevant evidence
• Discuss review findings with client and obtain root causes and draft management comments
• Clear all review queries
• Prepare progress report and discuss project report with project manager
• Attend meetings where required
• Prepare audit file and sign off on audit file

Experienced requirements: 

•       BCom (Hons) degree in Internal Auditing, Accounting or equivalent 
•       Minimum 2 years' experience in auditing and/or PFMA compliance experience

Other:

•       Candidates may be required to travel out of town (costs will not be for the candidates account)
•       Must be available to start work on the project within 1 week notice
