Safety Officer - Burgersfort at Hire Resolve

Responsibilities

• Development, implementation and management of safety and risk control programs, as well as ensuring legal compliance and provision of a safety advisory and reporting service to the operational unit or area
• Selects preventative actions for incidents where appropriate
• Selects safety expertise when problems occur
• Stops the operation or workplace if the working conditions are unsafe
• Determines appropriate investigations
• Disciplines employees to agreed parameters and procedures
• Stop work if unsafe

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Diploma in Safety Management
• Blasting Certificate for Underground Scheduled Mines
• 5 - 7 Years experience in an underground board & pillar mining environment
