Safety Systems Lead Engineer at Honeywell

A Lead Engineer oversees the engineering function, coordinates project development, and delivers engineered solutions. They manage resources, collaborate with global teams, and optimize products. They develop client software libraries, facilitate requirement sessions, and ensure team competency and customer satisfaction for growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the focal point within the projects' application and systems development portfolio.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of the engineering function and delivery of engineered solutions.
• Manage the engineering resources within the portfolio, including resource allocation to projects and resource sharing with other Global centers and portfolios.
• Collaborate closely with global product teams to enhance and optimize products.
• Develop and sustain key client software libraries and solutions.
• Facilitate client requirement sessions and translate requirements into necessary engineering deliverables.
• Develop team competencies, effectiveness, and efficiencies.
• Control costs and ensure customer satisfaction for continued growth.

YOU MUST HAVE

• A senior professional with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a projects and engineering environment with specific focus on the management of engineering resources delivering control system applications and systems.
• Sound experience in the development of safety systems applications e.g. Fail Safe Systems, Burner Management Systems, Fire and Gas Systems, or PLC applications performing Safety functions.
• A qualified Engineer at Tertiary level or relevant qualification with skills and experience in the required field. 
• Strong industry knowledge e.g. Petro Chemical, Refining. 
• Experience in operating across multiple disciplines, in a complex matrix organization. 
• People management skills
• Experience with Honeywell FSC or Safety Manager products is beneficial.
