Sales Agent – Insurance & Financial Services | Stanger at The Recruitment Council

• Our client is seeking driven and outgoing Sales Agents to join their growing team in Gauteng or KwaZulu-Natal. In this field-based role, you will actively source new business opportunities and sell tailored funeral cover solutions to government employees, including police officers, nurses, and broader public sector staff.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively source and acquire new business opportunities.
• Promote and sell funeral cover products to government employees.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within targeted sectors.
• Conduct client visits, presentations, and product demonstrations.
• Meet and exceed sales and business development targets.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' sales experience in insurance, financial services, or a related industry.
• Proven knowledge and hands-on experience working within the PERSAL insurance sales environment.
• Strong understanding of the South African government employee market.
• Demonstrated ability to generate new business and meet or exceed sales targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
• Valid driver's license and access to one's own reliable vehicle.

  Advantageous:

• An active RE5 qualification.
• Direct experience selling funeral cover or group risk products.
• An existing network within the police, nursing, healthcare, or broader public sectors.
• Relevant financial services or insurance qualifications.
