Sales Consultant - Retail Volume at AON

Aon South Africa has an exciting opportunity for a Retail Volume Sales Consultant. The role of the Sales Consultant is to provide an internal telesales service to clients by means of quoting and selling products to different market segments, in order to ensure the attainment of pre-determined targets and the growth of the Volume Business Products Solution client base.

Responsibilities

• Executes client needs analyses to establish insurance requirements
• Prepares and processes quotes on the relevant systems as required
• Provides professional and accurate advice in respect of cover, exclusions, terms and conditions ,ensuring clients are advised of any underwriting requirements relating the policy
• Negotiates cover and rates with insurers on behalf of clients
• Responsible for generating new business according to set targets
• Achieving leads to sales conversion in line with business objectives
• Ensures that proposals are correctly completed, and follows up on outstanding documentation
• Follows up on quotes already produced and not yet accepted by clients
• Builds a long-term and profitable client base
• Responsible for producing weekly and monthly operating/ sales reports
• Supports and actively participates and contributes towards team initiatives and any new divisional or branch strategies
• Remains current with market trends within the insurance industry and is aware of competitors’ products/ offerings
• Adheres to the minimum operating standards.

Qualifications

• A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferable
• Must be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act
• Minimum commercial FAIS credits
• Must be registered as a licentiate with the IISA (or studying towards)
• Successfully completed Regulatory Exam.

Knowledge.

• Knowledge of the principles and practices within a technical/professional discipline
• Knowledge of applicable company policies and procedures.

Experience.

• A minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience in a similar a related position
• Experience and responsibility for organizing own workload and completion of tasks.
