Sales Representative: Primary Care ( Pretoria West ) at Abbott

Job Responsibilities

• Design an appropriate strategy to achieve sales goals and targets in assigned territory;
• Achievement of sales, market share and growth objectives in the region;
• Maintain satisfactory customer call rate, strike rate, and territory coverage;
• Compile and update sales operating plan for region;
• Identify new business opportunities;
• Arrange and run CME events;
• Attend trade displays and presentations;
• Attend cycle meetings and conferences;
• Must complete country trip and day trips

Experience

• 3 -5 years sales experience within the medical or pharmaceutical industry having dealt with specialists or hospitals is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Private and Public Sector business advantageous
• Experience in Cardiovascular/Diabetes,, Antibiotic and/or related pharmaceutical sales will be an advantage
• Strong sales track record and sound organizational skills
• History of superior territory coverage
• Knowledge and relationships with key stakeholders in the region will be an advantage
• Established KOL relationships and specialist relationships an advantage
• Business planning acumen and ability.
• Computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Compliance with company Code of Conduct.
• The candidate should be an excellent communicator who’s behavior exhibits integrity, adaptability and independence.

Education

• Tertiary qualification in Human Sciences or Marketing/Sales
