    Sales Specialist Electrophoresis

    Introduction: Sysmex, a Global Health Care Company in the Medical Diagnostics Industry have a vacancy in their South Africa affiliate (Sysmex South Africa) for a Sales Specialist - Electrophoresis. Sysmex South Africa, are expanding the business and will promote, grow and also maintain a new aspect of business in the electrophoresis market.

     

    Main Purpose of the job:

    The role requires a self- motivated individual to build relationships and generate sales amongst the key stakeholders and customers in the electrophoresis market. Promote, grow and also maintain the electrophoresis market. The candidate should have a keen understanding of sales numbers, financial indicators and the ability to use this data to define budgets and sales forecasts. The suitable applicant should also have ability to use disease management, clinical and scientific expertise to promote the portfolio. Provide application and troubleshooting support to the local customers and/or application/technical team where required.

    Candidate Requirements and Competencies:

    • Degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences
    • At least 3 years’ sales and 5 years general experience in laboratory/biomedical field
    • Minimum 3 years in a medical commercial environment (sales and product support)
    • Ability to develop relationships and network with key stakeholders
    • Strong intercultural competencies
    • Effective communication and teaching skills
    • Capability to translate complex clinical, medical and diagnostic issues into comprehensive language and illustrations appealing to the addressed target customers
    • Proactive with a distinct analytical, structured and business-oriented work style 

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Achieve sales and financial budgets
    • Define, implement and follow up on sales strategies and marketing plans.
    • Keep up to date with market trends and competitor activities
    • Support the successful entry into the market of new product profiles.
    • Develop and provide trainings for customers
    • Work with technical team on ensuring customer satisfaction
    • Respond to customer complaints and queries through the appropriate procedure
    • Provide Workshop and Seminar content and Provide 2nd level application support on-site, where required.
    • Provide content for scientific marketing material such as application notes, white papers
    • Be the link between Sysmex and Sebia on all levels.

    This role requires an independent self-starter, with an excellent and proven track record of commercial sales and support in the Medical Diagnostics Industry. Salary negotiable with benefits.
