Sales Support Analyst at Novus Holdings Ltd

Job Description    

• We currently seek to appoint a Sales Support Analyst to be based in La Lucia, Durban. The incumbent will be responsible for shaping pricing strategies, drive accurate reporting, analyses sales trends and provide insights that make a real impact on our business

Key Duties and Responsibilities    

• Responsible for generating comprehensive sales reports, dashboards, and forecasts (using tools like Excel power query, Excel data analysis, Excel pivot table and graph) to identify trends, track KPIs, and inform strategic decision-making.
• Gather and consolidate information from different departments to support sales initiatives and projects.
• Using excel on dashboards tool to display gathered sales information for sales budgeting, forecasting and decision making immediately.
• Work with sales team in compiling sales reports and provide analytical support for smarter business decisions.
• Ensures smooth and timely resolution of sales-related issues.
• Managing Quotations in conjunction with the Sales Director
• Collaborate with cross-functional factory teams and sales teams.

Educational Requirements    

• Matric or equivalent (Core Mathematics essential)
• Commercial degree an advantage

Experience Requirements    

• 3 years Super Excel User experience.
• Cost accounting would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of the Flexible Packaging Market or packaging sector.

Skills and Competencies    

• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication at cross-functional levels of the organization.
• Support & Forecast: Budgeting, forecasting, and sales soft administration skills.
• Data Manipulation & Analysis: Proficient in Excel on Steroids.
• Data Visualization: Ability to create clear, concise reports and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders (Excel dashboard or equivalents).
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in data collection and reporting.
• Curiosity: A drive to understand the "why" behind the data.
• Commercial/Business Awareness: Understanding how data insights impact business strategies, processes, and the bottom line.
• Resilience: Ability to work under pressure, manage complex data, and challenge assumptions.
• Pricing: Be able to build and maintain pricing models and spreadsheets to ensure accuracy.
