Sample Lab Manager - Johannesburg at International Flavors & Fragrances

 Required Skills 

• Sample Lab Manager duties which include compounding batches, maintaining their share of House Keeping responsibilities, purging shelves, returning materials to stock, back flushing of materials from IFFMAN, Covering for other technicians while on vacation, requesting material deliveries from SAP inventory.
• Team Lead duties which include assigning daily work flow to the group, monitoring department personnel are completing their assigned duties and adhering to department rules and regulations. Maintaining and updating SOP’s
• Distribute Shop Floor Paperwork to the operators in a fair manner and ensure priority jobs take precedence.
• Train new operators as deemed necessary.
• Ensure all training documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Assist in the creation and compilation of Standard Operating Procedures.

Required Experience 

• 2 to 3 years compounding experience, working knowledge of the production facility, warehouse functions, working knowledge of IFFMAN. Proficient in Excel.
• High School Diploma 
• Preferred: Associates or Bachelors degree in a related field, Previous leadership or trainer role.
