Sea Logistics Import Operational Care personnel are part of a team in the Operational Care Centre, responsible for coordinating transport activities from A to Z (Booking, PSF, pick up/delivery, customs, invoicing - (+) all process flow tasks allocated to OCC) by: - Executing the necessary bookings with our partners - Executing the requisite data entry - Generating the required documentation and liaising with our customer care specialists to ensure requirements are met. All of these activities are to be performed in compliance with rules and regulations governing sea transport and associated national protocols. Sea Logistics Import Operational Care may from time to time if trade management do not control this function on a given trade, be responsible for managing the coordination of customer shipments by securing buy rates and capacity with qualified carriers / partners
Your Responsibilities
To perform the function of Imports Operations the below daily tasks need to be undertaken.
Acknowledgement of Booking and processing of booking
GP planning (charges and cost entry provided by CCL & verified)
Check export documentation on time
Ensuring the Customs Clearance is being done on time by the different involved parties and shipments are cleared on time
Ensuring instructions to transporter or handover are done on time
Organizing VGM and Navis updates according to the given data
Processing of Shipping Instructions & Bill of Ladings production on time
Your Skills And Experiences
Matric Certificate is essential as well as relevant Freight Forwarding certificates or diplomas’
Have 5-8 years experience in Sea Logistics
Sea-Log Experience 2-3 years
Kuehne Nagel Login Experience
Computer Literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, Sea-Log , CIEL, KN Login)
