Ensure adherence to engineering standards and regulatory compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Mine Health and Safety Act, and company-specific Safety Health and Environmental policies.
Develop and implement strategic plans for equipment optimization and risk mitigation, focusing on enhancing operational safety and efficiency.
Foster cross-functional collaboration to drive innovation and solve complex engineering challenges effectively.
Manage and control the section's budget by forecasting operational costs, monitoring expenditure, and improving financial efficiencies.
Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of technical experts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and individual development plans.
Establish effective operational methodologies for continuous improvement in business processes and technical functions.
Promote a culture of safety and environmental consciousness within the team and across all operations.
