Senior Accountant at Salt South Africa

• We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to take ownership of multiple IT and procurement-focused entities within a multi-entity environment. This role offers strong exposure to leadership, cost management, and strategic finance partnering.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Leading month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
• Preparing financial statements, journals, accruals, and reconciliations
• Managing intercompany transactions and cost allocations
• Overseeing IT and procurement cost accounting (SaaS, software, capitalised costs)
• Budget tracking, variance analysis, and cost optimisation
• Strengthening internal controls and supporting audits
• Building and leading a small accounting team

Requirements:

• CPA (or in progress)
• 5+ years’ accounting experience
• Multi-entity experience
• ERP exposure (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics, etc.)
• Strong Excel skills
• Proven leadership ability
