Senior BA (FTC) at Salt South Africa

• This Senior Business Analyst will play a critical role in bridging finance, product, and technology. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, translate them into clear requirements, and help design efficient, compliant, and scalable solutions.
• This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys deep analysis, process improvement, and being involved from discovery through to delivery.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Gathering and translating business requirements into clear functional specs and BRDs
• Running workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirement elicitation sessions
• Writing user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria for delivery teams
• Conducting gap analysis between current and future state processes
• Analysing end-to-end financial operations to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities
• Designing and documenting optimised business processes
• Partnering with finance, risk, compliance, operations, product, and engineering teams
• Ensuring solutions align with regulatory and risk frameworks
• Supporting and leading UAT, including test scenarios and validation
• Maintaining high-quality documentation and analysis artefacts

What we’re looking for

• 5-7+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst
• Strong experience within financial services, banking, or FinTech
• Proven involvement in process automation and optimisation initiatives
• Solid background in requirements gathering, process modelling, and documentation
• Comfortable working in cross-functional, fast-moving environments
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
