    Senior Brand Manager - Johannesburg

    About the role

    • Join our team as a Senior Brand Manager where your strategic leadership and growth mindset will drive the evolution of our brands and leave a lasting impact.
    • As a seasoned professional in this strategically important role, you will lead initiatives that unlock brand growth through compelling narratives, brand communication, and innovations that drive penetration.
    • You will initiate, plan and achieve Haleon’s ambition of becoming one of the most innovative, best performing and trusted Consumer Healthcare Companies in South Africa.
    • Reporting to the portfolio Marketing Manager (Pain Relief & Wellness roles) / to the Marketing Director (OHC role), with cross-functional teamwork and leadership required.

    Key responsibilities

    • All strategic and brand activities to achieve consumption, growth, sales, profit and marketing objectives.  
    • Set and deliver 1-3 year portfolio led strategy.
    • Lead the development of the marketing and communication strategy and plan by understanding business strategy, consumer and customer insights.
    • Enhance brand equity and consumer experience.
    • End to end P&L management and profit protection, stock forecast accuracy, management of A&P investment and ROI.
    • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
    • Identify and resolve any issues or risks related to marketing governance.

    Qualifications and skills

    Essential

    • A university degree with postgraduate qualification in Marketing, Communication or Commerce.
    • Minimum 7 years brand management experience at Multinationals managing sizeable brands.
    • Excellent strategic marketing skills, consumer understanding, strong P&L management & budgeting, cross-functional relationships and teamwork, decision making and accountability, demonstrated history of delivering results.
