The position is that of Senior Business Analyst.

KRA's

• Experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experienced in managing projects.
• Hands on exposure to all aspects of SDLC/BDLC.
• Knowledge of most IT systems in Old Mutual.
• In-depth knowledge of MySeries and Rewards application.
• Good understanding of the delivery processes linked to MySeries and Rewards application.
• Analyze past, present and future business environment.
• Work closely with systems analyst and solution designer, developers to design and implement solutions.
• Functionally test the solution and implements changes if necessary.
• Ensures all testing protocols are adhered to.
• Investigates and defines requirements for business processes.
• Analyses business processes to determine problems, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Contributes to the design of new business processes.
• Contributes to strategies and guidelines to improve the business environment.
• Provides input to senior management (both IT and business) on business procedures and policies and delivery dashboards.
• Manages stakeholders

Specific KRA’s

• Works closely with the Solution Architect to translate strategic and operational decisions into business solutions.
• Focuses on technical and business feasibility of a solution and ensure that it fits within well-established patterns and guidelines laid down by the solution architect.
• Facilitates the design and the implementation of Digital solutions and Customer and intermediary front facing system enhancements.
• Documents requirements including data modelling, data flows and BI report layouts, etc.
• Owns systems, user acceptance testing and implementation of changes or new applications.
• Takes responsibility for the quality and data integrity of the solution being delivered to the business.
• Formulates strategies and guidelines to improve the Digital environment.
• Have a good working relationship with users, Digital developers and other technical staff.
• Advises management on best practices and design of new enhancements.
• Coaches and mentors junior Business Analysts through the whole systems development life cycle.

Job Requirements

• Matric certificate
• Tertiary qualification (degree/diploma) highly advantageous.
• Minimum of 8+ years’ MySeries and Digital experience.
• Experience in business and data analysis, solutions design & testing, data modelling, in an Enterprise Data War ehouse.
• Microsoft, TFS, and web experience will be highly advantageous.
• Solid experience in working in a multi discipline team fostering collaboration and team work.
• Strong communication and facilitations skills, and business acumen.
• Experience in the Insurance industry will be advantageous.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent SQL skills will be an advantage.
• Experience in working in an agile/hybrid environment.
