RPO Recruitment’s client, a reputable civil engineering contractor based in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven professional with extensive experience on large civil infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of multiple civil construction projects.
Prepare and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cash flows.
Measure and value completed work for payment applications and certifications.
Prepare, assess, and negotiate subcontract agreements.
Administer contracts, including claims, variations, and final accounts.
Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
Prepare monthly cost reports and financial projections.
Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
Requirements:
BTech/BSc Degree or National Diploma in Quantity Surveying/Building or an equivalent qualification.
Minimum 10 years' Quantity Surveying experience within the civil construction industry.
Proven experience on major civil infrastructure projects such as roads, earthworks, bridges, water infrastructure, pipelines, bulk services, or municipal works.
Strong knowledge of FIDIC, GCC, NEC, and JBCC contracts.
Proficient in CCS Candy, BuildSmart, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant QS software.
Excellent commercial, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
