To assist the Department in accomplishing monthly payroll objectives accurately and timeously, through the utilisation of a disciplined approach which will enable accurate reconciliation of required information. Calculation of Maternity leave benefits, processing and implementation of Maintenance and Garnishee orders, liaising with Service providers for verification and validation of garnishee orders. Processing of manual payments and assisting in the retrieval of past and present tax certificates and the accurate analysis, actioning and processing of payroll earnings and deductions.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Balancing and processing of vendors payments
Capturing of Salary information, Maintenance and garnishee orders
Attending to and resolving Payroll queries
Distribution of month end reports to both internal and external customers using SAP reporting tools
Processing and management of the Disability Payroll/Technical grades (TGs)
Analysis of wage and salary reports.
Issuing of payroll reports / IRP5s timeously.
Convert files from text to excel and visa-versa.
Raising of manual payments.
Distribution of month end vendor payments.
General clerical & other ad hoc duties
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum NQF4 qualification / Matric & studying towards a qualification in related area (Business/Finance/HR)
Must be computer literate – Microsoft packages / SAP HR modules/Advanced Excel skills
Must have experience in administration/finance/statistical calculations, data & formulas
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a remuneration/payroll environment
Basic understanding of tax, pension, provident, UIF and Basic Conditions of Employment Act
Good communication skills both verbal and written.
Must be prepared to work overtime when required to do so.
