Purpose of the Job: To control budgets, forecasts and monthly reporting

Roles and Responsibilities

• Cost/Tender estimates
• Contract bid evaluations
• Assessment of interim payment certificates
• Assessment/audit of compensation events
• Valuations of work executed
• Cost Reporting
• Cost Control
• Final account and close out
• Compilation of tender documentation
• Tender Adjudication
• Project Audits

Requirements for the position

Education

• Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying or Cost Accounting
• Registration as Pr QS added advantage
• Registration as CCT or EVP with AACE added advantage

Training

• Computer Literacy
• Costing Management Systems

SH&E

• Safety knowledge an advantage
• Quality Systems knowledge an added advantage

Experience

• 8 years’ experience in Cost Engineering
• Experience in the Energy and chemicals or mining and mineral processing sector advantageous
• Controlling budgets, cashflows, graphs and arithmetical skills essential
