    Senior Cost Manager

    What this job involves

    • Undertake day to day delivery of all Commercial, Cost and Procurement tasks. 
    • Develop the client commercial and procurement brief to suit the specific requirements of the project. 
    • Undertake full cost evaluations of contracts to meet the client’s expectations and budget. 
    • Administer complex contracts, proactively managing and confirming the compliance of contractors/consultants to the contract terms and conditions. 
    • Lead and support the compilation of procurement and tendering documents, critically reviewing tender returns, contract negotiations, award of contracts and client reporting. 
    • Develop project cost and procurement documentation, programs, master budgets etc. 
    • Detailed weekly and monthly reporting on commercial position. 
    • Deliver projects within the framework of risk, sustainability and environmental considerations agreed at the business case/client brief stage, while maintaining focus on time, cost and quality. 
    • Monitor and report on the main and specialist sub-contractor’s commercial progress against the contract. 
    • Manage consultant team contracts to ensure that the contractor’s design is done in compliance with the commercial contract and on budget. 
    • Manage consultant teams to ensure that the built product is compliant with the contract requirements and on budget. 
    • Undertake feasibility cost estimates and detailed cost plans.

    • Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar.
    • 7 years’ experience in a similar position.
    • Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team.
    • Communication skills and management of multidisciplinary work teams.
    • Analytical skills are required to detect errors or possible problems, as well as the ability to search for and propose solutions.
    • Experience in dealing directly with clients.
    • Good level of spoken and written English is essential.
    • Good level of use of Excel, Power Point, AutoCAD, Project, TCQ/ Presto is required.
    • Target oriented.
    • Experience in companies with hierarchical structures and internal procedures.
    • Organized in analysis, structured in reporting and transmission of information.
