Senior Draftsman at Tower Group

The Role

A position for a Principal Draughtsperson within the Bridges and Buildings Division has become available. Must have 12+ years’ experience in Structural draughting using Autodesk AutoCAD and/or other approved drawing and reinforcement detailing software, 5-10 years relevant bridge concrete & reinforcement detailing experience, and 5-10 years relevant bridge draughting experience as well as experience supervising a team of staff members. The position is based in Westville, Durban.

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant Draughting Qualification
• 12+ years’ experience in Structural draughting using Autodesk AutoCAD and/or other approved drawing and reinforcement detailing software
• Minimum 5-10 Years relevant bridge concrete and reinforcement detailing experience
• 5-10 years relevant bridge draughting experience
• Autodesk AutoCAD – Intermediate to advanced (Advanced is preferred)
• Autodesk Revit Structure - Intermediate to advanced (Advanced is preferred)
• Autodesk Navisworks – Beginner to intermediate (Optional)
• Prokon Autopadds – Advanced
• MS Office - Intermediate to advanced (Advanced is preferred)
• Advanced supervisory skills
• Valid Driver’s License and Own Transport
• Critical thinking to identify the most reasonable approach in dealing with complex problems
• Good Communication skills in both writing and orally
• The ability to visualise the end result
