Qualification Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a closely related advanced technology discipline is essential.
• Alongside this, recognised professional certification in Networking demonstrates mastery of core infrastructure principles. Certification in IT Security underlines the ability to protect our environments responsibly, while an IT Service Management qualification reflects an understanding of service excellence and accountability. Together, these qualifications ensure the role holder is well equipped to lead with confidence and integrity in a complex technology landscape.
• The ideal candidate brings between eight and ten years of meaningful, hands-on experience within enterprise network environments. This includes a proven track record of designing and implementing LAN, WAN, WLAN and WWAN solutions that are resilient and fit for purpose. Experience in network capacity planning, applying sound security principles and following recognised network management best practices is key.
• A deep, practical understanding of network and PC operating systems, telephony platforms and contemporary network hardware, protocols and internet standards is expected. Strong troubleshooting capability, familiarity with testing tools for voice and data circuits, and an awareness of data privacy practices and legislation further support success in this role. Experience guiding or supporting less experienced colleagues will be valued, as it reflects a natural approach to leadership and knowledge sharing.
