    Senior Lecturer - Computational Chemistry

    Brief Description        

    Qualifications

    The required qualification is a PhD in computational chemistry, preferably with post-doctoral research experience in the field as demonstrated by publications in the international learned societies and/or leading commercial publishers.  Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.  Experience with teaching and assessing topics in undergraduate chemistry modules commensurate with the level of a Senior Lecturer is required.

    Duties

    • Overall responsibilities would include lecturing in quantum mechanics, computational chemistry and general chemistry at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as possibly thermodynamics, kinetics, group theory, and statistical thermodynamics.
    • The ability to work as part of a collaborative team is essential, noting that an individual research profile is needed for career advancement.
