Requirements: Academic route: • Doctoral degree in Law. Professional route: • A Master of Laws Degree • Admission as an Attorney or Advocate coupled with ten years' practice experience. Candidates appointed through the professional route will be appointed on a five-year contract basis with the provision that the appointment will be converted to permanent upon attainment of a Doctoral degree within the five-year period of appointment.
Duties
To teach undergraduate modules in Labour Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Tax Law and postgraduate students' modules in the Department of Mercantile Law and where applicable, assigned modules in other departments
To demonstrate exemplary leadership in the Department of Mercantile and Private Law
To conduct research and supervise postgraduate students
To coordinate programmes, develop the curriculum and establish linkages with other academic institutions, government, non-governmental organizations and community structure
