    Senior Legal Counsel – Disputes and Contracting

    MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

    • To assist the AO Legal Lead in performance of her duties
    •  To provide assistance to the Litigation and Disputes Department
    • To provide assistance to the Contracts Department including vetting and drafting of contracts.
    • To provide legal and compliance advice

    QUALIFICATIONS

    •  LLB Law degree
    •  Admission as an attorney or Advocate

    EXPERIENCE

    • At least 6 years post-admission experience as a practicing attorney or in a legal advisory capacity dealing with legal commercial issues.
    • Highly beneficial if the candidate:

    KPI / MAJOR TASKS

    • Providing of legal advice and legal support to the Business units
    • Vetting and drafting of contracts
    • Management of and reporting on both pending litigation and/or disputes
    • Compliance, risk, litigation, contract and legal management
    • Both Legal and Non-legal Administrative work
