Senior Legal Counsel – Disputes and Contracting
- Job Type Full Time
- Qualification Bachelors
- Experience 6 years
- Location Gauteng
- Job Field Legal and Regulatory
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
- To assist the AO Legal Lead in performance of her duties
- To provide assistance to the Litigation and Disputes Department
- To provide assistance to the Contracts Department including vetting and drafting of contracts.
- To provide legal and compliance advice
QUALIFICATIONS
- LLB Law degree
- Admission as an attorney or Advocate
EXPERIENCE
- At least 6 years post-admission experience as a practicing attorney or in a legal advisory capacity dealing with legal commercial issues.
- Highly beneficial if the candidate:
KPI / MAJOR TASKS
- Providing of legal advice and legal support to the Business units
- Vetting and drafting of contracts
- Management of and reporting on both pending litigation and/or disputes
- Compliance, risk, litigation, contract and legal management
- Both Legal and Non-legal Administrative work
