Senior Manager, Finance, Commercial & Supply Chain, SSA - Westville at CHEP

Job Description

This role is responsible for providing the Business Partner and wider Business with detailed Commercial & Supply Chain finance activities by providing analysis and insight on key initiatives to drive growth & transformation, increase profitability, reduce cost to serve, as well as broader financial support.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Accounting or in a relevant finance technical discipline
• Preferred: Honours or Master’s Degree (e.g. Finance, Business Administration, Accounting)
• 7 to 10 years' Finance or Accounting Management experience, preferably in complex multinational businesses
• Solid understanding of FP&A, Commercial and Supply Chain Finance processes
• Business Partnering and providing a high level of financial analysis
• Proven experience in budgeting and forecast analysis
• Proven experience in driving change management initiatives
• Staff management and development

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead and performance manage the regional C&SC team
• Manage the C&SC team of direct reports in terms of recruitment, retention, induction, performance management, career development and succession planning, including organizing (in conjunction with HR), the ongoing training/coaching program for the team
• Provide leadership, direction, motivation and support to the team
• Provides business with analytics and insights to support strategic and operational decision making, and in doing so, influences improved business performance and capital allocation decisions
• Supports the implementation and application of a globally and regionally consistent commercial policy, through the use of standard practices and tools
• Supports the adoption of standard C&SC finance tools and processes
• Supports the BP with the identification of strategic business initiatives and actions to drive improvements in functional performance to achieve forecasts and targets
• Provides deep functional analytical insight through modelling detailed inputs on budgets and forecasts
• Articulates the levers and drivers that will be used to deliver the strategic objectives
• Supports the BP by providing function specific business insights and commentary on the financial results and performance including interpreting, explaining with a view to driving improved performance
• Prepares the analytics to support a robust competitive assessment and product lifestyle reviews across the regions to monitor on-going competitiveness and asset utilization
• Performs customer profitability analysis and pricing calculations for Sales team
• Provides support on new deal and renewal renegotiation and contract management
• Performs the analytics on post investment reviews and monitoring investments
• Provides analytical support to BPs on supply chain, operations, transport, plant cost analysis, business case preparation, improvement initiatives, supply chain business case governance and global alignment
• Provides support for BP’s and the wider business for future looking ad-hoc analysis
