Senior Manager - Procurement at Komatsu Mining

Job Specification (not totally inclusive)

• Develop and implement effective “cost-out” strategies, develop and deliver Procurement strategy across Joy Global Africa.
• Deliver on targeted benefits and financial savings and engage and support to obtain agreement on the strategy from key stakeholders so that implementation and compliance are optimal.
• Promote the effective management of suppliers to sustain value throughout the life of the contract.
• Establish new processes and systems for effective procurement across Joy Global Africa;
• Develop and maintain documented standards for the procurement processes which will result in minimizing procurement risks;
• Implement BBBEE framework regarding spend and take full ownership of the enterprise & supplier development scorecard element; and
• Develop and execute Sourcing Strategies within the business, advise and guide the process to the best-fit approach.

Minimum Skills required.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management / Procurement or related field,
• Membership of The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS);
• At least 5-8 years’ experience working as a Procurement Manager at senior management level;
• A Minimum of 10-15 years’ experience in procurement, in industrial manufacturing/mining or engineering environment;
• Proven experience in leading teams and developing employees;
• In-depth knowledge of Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) computation and reporting;
• Working knowledge of Legal Contracts Drafting and Management;
• Preferred applied experience in manufacturing, procurement, warehousing, logistics, production, materials planning & scheduling, JIT Procurement, etc.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to act as project lead in the development and implementation of projects;
• Extensive SAP/R3 experience and advanced level of proficiency in MS Office suite; and
• Must have driver’s license and own reliable transport
