Introduction

Our client, a leading safety equipment manufacturer based in North Riding is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer / Engineering Manager.

The company is global leader in controlled environments and safety technologies for the underground mining, tunnelling, chemical processing, disaster relief and biotechnology industries. Specializing in the manufacture and supply of emergency refuge chambers, safe havens, disaster shelters and plant grow chambers, as well as a range of newly designed electronic equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team which encompasses mechanical, electronic and software engineers across Perth, Dallas and Johannesburg Facilities and will be responsible for:
• Working across inter-company departments, primarily production, service and sales to provide trouble shooting, advice and support.
• Handling Engineering Requests from the Sales Department.
• Review and verify design drawings and technical documentation prepared by others to ensure correctness and accuracy in form, fit and function.
• Design, modelling and drafting with SolidWorks.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• BEng in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ Years experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• Exposure to a decent overlap of products in RND, new product development, mechanical design, and HVAC.
• Product design and development skills with high level competency with 2D and 3D CAD, AUTOCAD, and Solidworks.
• Ability to manage multiple projects to achieve project completion in accordance with technical requirements, cost, and schedule.
