    Senior Operations Manager

    Purpose of the Job

    • The operations department is responsible for all physical, administrative and communicative functions in the day-to-day collection, processing, safe handling, movement, routing, storage and follow up of all parcels collected by Aramex in accordance with the service standards as laid out in proposals to clients and in accordance with the company’s standard conditions of carriage. This role oversees all operational functions and budgets for their region.

    Job Description

    • Manage the operational excellence of the region.
    • Deliver sustainable cost benefits to the business.
    • Develop and mentor your direct reports.
    • Ensure that all operational aspects are managed in accordance with company requirements
    • Manage and deliver projects within time and budget when required.
    • Interact with Sales and create a pro-active working relationship to enable us to deliver world-  class service.
    • Manage the operations and any other tasks required to meet company requirements.
    • Implement and meet agreed KPI’s.
    • Develop a culture of pride and excellence in your area of responsibility.
    • Ensure that agent SLA’s are met and enforced.
    • Manage all assets under your control correctly.
    • Required to deliver results with minimum supervision.
    • Accountable to quality audit measures and meeting/ exceeding these targets.
    • Ensure compliance relating to all regulatory (internal/external) objectives to mitigate business risk.
    • Ensure that agents SLA’s are met and enforced. Monthly KPI meetings with such agents are expected.

    Job Requirements - Experience and Education

    • 5-10 years’ experience in the logistics industry.
    • Proven track record of being able to deliver results.
    • Proven leadership skills.
    • Exceptional people skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Understanding of a P+L statement
    • Ability to deliver operational excellence
    • Good communication skills.
    • Project management an advantage
