Senior Procurement Buyer at RPO Recruitment

Job Description

• A well-established industrial manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Buyer with strong procurement, supplier management, and inventory control experience.
• The successful candidate will drive strategic sourcing initiatives, optimise procurement processes, and deliver cost savings while ensuring efficient supply chain operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, purchasing, and contract negotiations.
• Negotiate pricing and supplier agreements to achieve cost savings.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships while monitoring supplier performance.
• Oversee stores operations, inventory control, and stock accuracy.
• Manage purchase orders, MRP activities, and stock replenishment.
• Conduct stock takes, analyse inventory data, and prepare procurement reports.
• Support procurement and stores personnel while ensuring compliance with company procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost optimisation initiatives.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years' procurement and stores management experience.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and cost control skills.
• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of achieving procurement savings and process improvements.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and inventory management software.
