Senior Project Development Manager at Leap29

• They are searching for an experienced Senior Project Development Manager to assist with identifying new renewables projects throughout South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with other departments to ensure the successful development of projects.
• Manage your own wind and solar project portfolio.
• Identify, evaluate and select new wind and solar PV opportunities.
• Appoint and manage external consultants to undertake EIAs and other environmental/ planning studies, and preliminary engineering studies and site design.
• Undertake the numerous other project permitting and approval processes, which entails regular engagement with relevant government departments.
• Engage with engineering companies to better understand project grid connection options and prepare required documentation to secure Eskom grid access.
• Thoroughly and accurately document and administer all project related information.
• Be involved in relevant industry association committees and initiatives.

Candidates must have at least 3-5 years of experience within renewables.
