Job Description

Critical hands-on experience:

• Highly proficient with 10 years+ hands-on experience in SDLC, PDLC, Project Management processes, tools and techniques; experience in both traditional (waterfall), AGILE and/or SAFe ways working
• Demonstrated understanding of data engineering lifecycle
• 10 years+ hands-on experience leading projects in the following fields: data management and data governance, data processing, data consumption, big data platforms, or advanced analytics
• Owns and drives planning, ensuring that technology plans are prepared to appropriate standards and updated regularly, are integrated effectively across all work-streams in and outside the CAO, are unambiguous and achievable, and that CRAIDs are clearly understood, assigned ownership, and managed
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies; sprint planning, scrum, sprint grooming and retrospectives.
• Responsible for documenting and tracking project benefits
• Responsible for managing the project budget and reporting
• Preparation and presenting project SteerCo packs
• Must be able to interpret Solution and/or Data Architecture Designs into project work packages.  NOTE: Preparation of Architecture Designs rests with the Architects.
• Must adhere to the bank’s project management governance processes
• Comes from a FinTech background

Critical soft skills in addition to solid project management skills:

• The Project Manager needs to be mature, with strong communication skills and confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels both in open forums and one-to-one.
• Remove impediments and foster a psychologically safe environment where teams can share ideas, innovate, and raise issues without fear, so that a highly motivated and high-performing team can be established.
• Project Manager needs to set correct pace and cadence
• Project Manager needs to keep the team focused on project priorities as agreed with the Product Owner(s) and/or Accountable Executive(s) to achieve the desired outcomes.
• Project Manager needs to be meticulous, with attention to detail and produce quality reports at a SteerCo level with minimal assistance.
• Project Manager needs to be punctual and follow up on stakeholders to ensure closure on open items.

Qualifications:

• Post Graduate degree; Project/Programme Management, Management Information Systems, Finance, Data Management or Data Science from a recognized university
• Certifications; PMP, Lean Agile, DAMA, Data Science

• Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
