• To develop and delivery tactical plans, associated practices and to ensure operational implementation and adoption across a single practice i.t.o. risk methodology, governance and delivery objectives. Support the DIT with their risk, assurance and compliance objectives, ensuring proactive risk management.

• Risk Management: Providing Subject Matter Expertise on the Principle Resilience Risk, namely Change, Cyber, Technology and Business Continuity
• Stakeholder Management: Build, Influence and Maintain effective Relationships with relevant stakeholders and maintain a close working relationship with key senior stakeholders.
• Risk Reporting: proactive risk management by identifying, assessing and reporting key risks arising from significant events, investigations, audit and control issues.
• Risk and Control: Adhere to Enterprise Risk Management Framework, Policies, Procedures and Regulations ensuring compliance.

Specific requirements for the Business Unit

Management of the Risk & Control environment in the DIT risk space.  This involves:

• Drive the risk mitigation for applications with the DIT estate, working closely with the technology & business risk teams.
• Close engagement with the assurance teams to assist with queries and ensure factual accuracy of issues raised.
• Proactive review and management of key risk indicators to ensure the risk posture is within desired appetite (patching levels, DR levels, etc.)
• Managing & maintaining the risk governance (meetings, presentation, reports, etc.)
• Alignment with the central risk office in terms of process, changes to frameworks and reporting requirements and compliance standards.
• The role requires a combination of very strong technical and risk skills.

Education

• Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
