Senior Site Agent (Limpopo) at Fraser Alexander (Pty) Ltd.

PURPOSE

• This position is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and delivery of complex or large-scale construction projects, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, time, and cost objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Business / Functional Management

• Execute project responsibilities in line with organisational strategy, to achieve set goals.
• Effectively utilise resources in line with project strategy, to ensure effective project delivery.

Financial , Commercial & Contracts Management

• Responsible for managing site costing, as per standard policies and procedures for cost management.
• Ensure that all relevant labour, materials, plant and sub-contractors are procured in good time for the contract and within budget specifications.
• Risk Management & Compliance , incl. ESG Responsibility
• Ensure all site risks and opportunities are identified, and mitigating actions implemented and monitored.
• Align to client ESG requirements and ensure compliance throughout the project implementation.

Stakeholder Management (Internal/ External)

• Promote ongoing open communication with Client Resident Engineer and Project Manager and other client managers to foster good relations between FAT and         the Client.
• Responsible for subcontractor and supplier management and building relationship with subcontractor and supplier site management.

Operations & Project Management

• Responsible for project execution on a specific site - within budget, scope, timelines, productivity and SHEQ standards.
• Ensure site operational, financial, quality and productivity objectives are achieved against standard and plan.

Management Operating System and Reporting

• Define, set up and implement appropriate management operating system, including forecasts, plans, controls, measures, data management and trend analysis,     reports and forums, for the site.
• Monitor production and productivity by means of reports, charts, graphs, dash-boards and visual applications.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum: Degree or Btech in Civil Engineering.
• Project Management or Management qualifications would be advantageous, along with relevant short courses in construction, commercial, financial, and site   administration disciplines.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing sections of a construction project at Site Agent or equivalent level.
• Hands-on experience managing foremen, labour, and plant resources
• Experience in planning and setting up construction projects at Section Engineer level or higher.
• Minimum of 5 years’ supervisory or management experience in a construction environment.
• Experience managing teams, subcontractors, and site operations at Site Agent or Section Engineer level.

SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Solid understanding of the Mining and Construction industry, including Fraser Alexander operations
• Strong project and construction management capability.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
