    Senior Software Engineer II

    About the Role

    • We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and help design and develop a next-generation legal search platform. In this role, you will contribute to architecture decisions, collaborate with product teams and users to turn requirements into solutions, and mentor team members. You’ll work in an agile environment and play a key role in delivering high-quality, scalable software.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate within a Scrum team to build and enhance a legal search engine product.
    • Ensure code quality, maintainability, and technical consistency across components.
    • Contribute to project planning and provide input on technical approaches.
    • Write and review specifications for complex system components.
    • Implement best practices for development, code reviews, and troubleshooting.
    • Stay current with emerging technologies and align with global technical strategy.
    • Mentor and support junior engineers.

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, including microservices architecture.
    • Proficiency in Java (version 17 or higher) and frameworks such as Micronaut or Spring Boot.
    • Experience with Lucene-based search engines (e.g., Apache Solr, Elasticsearch).
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS), NoSQL databases, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins).
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead technical initiatives.
    • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
    • Knowledge of resource models like Managed Services or Staff Augmentation.
    • Experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, RDS, Redshift, EventBridge, SES, SNS)
