SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER JOB DISCRIPTION

Leading Investment Company based in Sandton is seeking a highly energetic Senior Systems Engineer to join their team. In this role you are solely responsible for the Infrastructure support for the 4 companies comprising of 80 users, and you will report directly to the CEO. Incumbent will manage staff member and will assist in providing level – 3 end user support. You will be expected on behalf of the group ensure all software, hardware, servers and networks run smoothly. You will be responsible for resolving escalated service issues, coaching other engineers to resolutions, engineering and implementing complex projects, and for maintaining and overseeing the technology of their assigned accounts. This role is a key position within the Masav Group and you will be called upon to resolve the highest level technical issues. You will be responsible for managing our server and network infrastructures. Responsibilities include monitoring system performances and configuring new software and hardware. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with various operating systems as per below.

Required Advanced Technical Proficiencies:

• Hyper-V
• Exchange Server 2013
• Windows Server 2008 – 2016
• Active Directory, DHCP and DNS administration
• Mimecast and Mailstore experience would be beneficial
• Firewall Management
• VOIP experience
• VPN connectivity troubleshooting and configuration (Fortigate, OpenVPN, IPSec).
• Security software such as Anti-virus, Anti-SPAM, Anti-Spyware, and other security related technologies
• Work experience as a Senior System Administrator
• Solid understanding of LAN/WAN networks
• Knowledge of system security techniques
• PCI Compliance experience would be beneficial

Base Requirements:

• Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a like role or 3 years of experience working in IT Department
• MCSE or MCSA Server 2016 – Non negotiable

Salary: R600k to R840k
