Job Description
This role is responsible to support the supply chain function with the enablement of the Ariba modules, with a strong emphasis on supplier onboarding, including the resolution of transactional queries.The predominant focus of the role is operational support and system enablement related to the Ariba modules implemented within the De Beers Group. Thus, ensuring that the sourcing and purchasing functions are optimally functioning. This will involve remote end-user support, acting as a single point of contact for Ariba-related processes and user requests, and supporting suppliers to be onboarded onto SAP Ariba.

The key responsibilities include:

• To administer the correct utilisation of the Ariba modules and interface platforms (Web Methods) to achieve the objectives of the business function to safeguard the integrity of information passing between the production and client systems through proactive, preventative, and corrective actions as deemed necessary by management and job requirements..
• Oversees governance (supplier onboarding via the Ariba SLP module is conducted according to the standard business process as defined within the Anglo-American standard).
• Contribute by inputting into the Development and deployment of standardised business processes and meta-data elements that will foster leading practice and drive compliance.
• Quality assurance and change control, ensure good practice system compliance, ensure system governance in place to perform system process improvement, evaluations and analysis.
• Supply process improvement prioritisation and system process change solution service consulting to the operation through conducting evaluations of internal system processes according to the agreed approach.
• Drives learning and capacity building related to Supply Chain practices to ensure full acceptance and stability of solutions.
• Contribute by input to system functional designs in support of the Information Management team that drives business process and data compliance and support solution development, deployment, and full operationalization (SAP Ariba and interface management).
• Drive effective change through the organisation that will promote the use and adoption of policies, standards and processes related to the Ariba technology solution that will promote a common way of working.
• Develops and maintains a professional working relationship with the customer and customer end-users in support of the Service Delivery Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in commerce, business administration, or another relevant discipline).
• SAP MM and SD knowledge and experience. Understanding of Ariba Upstream and Downstream modules.

Knowledge and experience

• Relevant operational experience (e.g. SAP systems and interfaces, SC processes, ERP, and data knowledge).
• Presentation and high computer literacy.
• Knowledge of supplier governance, procurement policy and process, and contract management.
