    Senior Technical Advisor - Youth Employment Promotion

     

    • Project Duration: This is a shared position until the end of 2024:
    • 80% of the time allocated to S2PYEI
    • 20% of the time allocated to CPD4E After 2024, the position will be fully allocated to CPD4E.

    To be considered you need the following

    Qualifications:

    • A Master's degree in Economics, Politics, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field is required.

    Professional Experience -Bring Your Expertise to the Table:

    • We're looking for someone with a proven track record in employment promotion (8+ years of experience).
    • Experience navigating complex political landscapes and aligning skills training with industry needs is a major plus. Do you understand the ins and outs of innovative financing models like pay-for-performance? That's a game-changer for us.
    • Bonus points if you've spent at least 3 years strengthening the TVET system or advising on employment policy.
    • Network like a champion? Strong connections with key stakeholders are essential.
    • Communication is king, so excellent writing skills are a must for reports, publications, and project materials.

    WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING

    • Become a Trusted Advisor: Provide expert guidance to partners across government, private sector, and civil society on key areas like skills development and employment promotion.
    • Build Powerful Networks: Forge strong partnerships with national and local stakeholders, identifying opportunities for collaboration and maximizing impact.
    • Drive Results from Start to Finish: Design, plan, implement, and manage projects while ensuring adherence to GIZ regulations. This includes managing contracts, service providers, and implementation partners.
    • Sharpen Your Communication Skills: Craft compelling briefings, presentations, reports, and concept notes, clearly outlining project goals and plans.
    • Maximize Efficiency: Identify synergies with other development projects, ensuring best practices and optimized resource allocation.
    • Be Our Voice: Represent the projects effectively in relevant meetings and events, championing their objectives.
    • Plan for Success: Contribute to the operational planning of the projects, ensuring smooth and efficient execution.
    • Measure & Adapt: Integrate your expertise into the projects' Monitoring, Evaluation, Reflection, and Learning (MERL) systems. Share valuable insights within and beyond GIZ.
    • Report & Share Impact: Contribute to annual progress reports for commissioning parties and other stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
    • Communicate with Clarity: Help develop and implement communication strategies to effectively showcase project progress and impact.
