Senior Technical Consultant at Ovations Technologies

Job Description:

• This is a 12 - month contract with our client in the banking sector.
• We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Technical Consultant to serve as the strategic custodian of technical thought leadership within our Group Technology (GT) environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Thought Leadership: Act as the strategic custodian of technology standards across Group Technology (GT), driving innovation and aligning solutions with the overall strategy of the Bank.
• Complex Solution Integration: Provide expert guidance and architectural advice on integrating solutions across multiple complex technologies, ensuring systems are resilient, scalable, and sustainable.
• Process & Quality Advisory: Define and advise on supporting engineering processes and practices to ensure GT consistently delivers high-quality, stable software and infrastructure.
• Technical Capability Growth: Actively mentor, coach, and uplift technical expertise within the organization, fostering a culture of continuous learning and engineering excellence.
• Stakeholder Consultation: Partner with senior business and technology stakeholders, translating complex banking strategies into robust, practical technical frameworks.

Requirements

• Experience: 8 to 12+ years of deep technical experience, with a proven track record in a consulting, advisory, or principal engineering capacity within a large-scale banking or financial services environment.
• Integration Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of multi-technology landscapes, enterprise integration patterns, legacy systems, and modern cloud-native architectures.
• Consultative Leadership: Strong capability to influence senior stakeholders, provide high-level technical direction, and steer organizational technical governance.
• Mentorship & Coaching: Demonstrated passion and capability for developing talent, running mentoring programs, and growing technical skills across teams.
